With very simple sorting and bagging are required; it is easier than ever to recycle! Unlike the exhaustive sorting and confusing requirements of the past, we have very simple requirements, to help make things easier for you; It’s as easy as 1-2-3:

Step one: Make sure it’s clean.— No-one wants to handle filthy garbage, and food or other residue can make many materials unusable. However, you don’t have to soak off labels or wash bottles. Just rinse clean and let dry.

Step two: Bag it.— Sorting has never been easier: just sort your different types of recyclables into bags (up to kitchen sized), and tie them shut when they are full. In fact, you can even reuse plastic grocery sacks for this purpose, so now you know how to answer the age-old question: ‘paper or plastic?’!

Step three: Set it out on your collection day.—   Heartland Recycling will take care of the rest
